Unidentified Male Found Hanging In Baltimore City
Baltimore City Police are releasing very little information regarding a suicide-by hanging incident which was reported to law enforcement shortly after 7am this morning.
The remains of an unindentified adult male was found hanging in the 1500 block of Bentalou Street. The discovery was made at 7:03 am near the City's Easterwood Park. Detectives have determined that there was no evidence of foul play and homicide could be ruled out.
"We know this was not a homicide," said Detective Nicole Monroe, a city police spokeswoman. "This was definitively a suicide." Detective Monroe would not elaborate further, citing department policy related to suicides.
School Police were reportedly able to take swift action by shielding the area to avoid the scene being a distraction to the students of the nearby Carver High School.
