Anne Arundel County Recs and Parks to Rededicate Field at Park in Bestgate

County Executive Steuart Pittman and the Department of Recreation and Parks will rededicate the Pindell Field at Bestgate Park in Annapolis on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:30am. 

Pindell Field was originally dedicated in 1994 in honor of brothers "Buck" (France America PIndell), "Dan" (Jacob Daniel Pindell), and "Ouchie" (Melvin Purnell Pindell) for the hundreds of youth in Annapolis that they coached over a 20 year span.  Then Delegate Mike Busch initiated the field naming, and in 2018 Speaker Busch advocated for the rededication following significant renovations to the park.  All three brothers and Speaker Busch have passed on, but their memory and positive impact on the youth of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County remains.
