Baltimore Business Owner Convicted After Trial on Federal Charges for Conspiring to Burn Down His Business in Order to Obtain Insurance Proceeds

A federal jury convicted Demetrios Stavrakis, a/k/a Jimmy, age 53, of Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, for an arson conspiracy to damage his business by setting it on fire in order to obtain insurance proceeds.  The verdict was returned late on October 28, 2019.
