County Police Investigating Apparent Social Media Threat Against North County High School

Anne Arundel County Schools and Anne Arundel County Police are aware of a post that is being circulated online which appears to contain a threat against the school.

Police are actively investigating the post to determine any credibility, and school officials are assisting them in that investigation. "It is important to understand that this is an active investigation," a spokesperson said. "As such, please do not share or otherwise distribute the post or images of it."

There will be additonal police presence at the school today out of an abundance of caution.

 "We will continue to work with police throughout the night and into tomorrow as necessary, but North County High School parents, students, and staff should plan for an on-time opening of the school on Monday, October 28," the spokesperon added.
