Suspicious Package Sends Two for Treatment at Area Hospital, Annapolis Fire Officials Say

Today at approximately 9:53 AM, units from the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Fire Department Hazmat/Special operations unit were dispatched to the Unit block of Maryland Avenue for a report of a suspicious package with injuries.

Upon arrival crews encountered two individuals that were not feeling well after opening a package received from china two weeks ago. Hazmat crews entered the residence, located and contained the package. Both patients were transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation. There were no injuries to Fire personnel. The incident is still under investigation
