County Police Officers Find Stolen Gun, More Than 500 Grams of Pot During Traffic Stop in Glen Burnie

County police officers allegedly found a stolen handgun and more than 500 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop in Glen Burnie. 

On March 14, 2021 at approximately 11:40 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda Accord in the area of Ritchie Highway and 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected an odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle. 

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .22 caliber Walther P22 handgun, which had been reported stolen. Also seized were a leather backpack containing 108.96 grams of suspected marijuana, 549.17 grams edible THC, a digital scale and other CDS paraphernalia. 

The driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm and was arrested.  He was identified as:
