Annapolis Police: Mercedes-Benz Not Returned To Dealer After Test Drive
Staff at the Mercedez-Benz Dealer in Eastport reported one of their vehicles stolen after it was not returned from a test drive, Annapolis Police said today.
On July 12, 2021, at approximately 6:30pm, officers responded to the dealership located on the 300 block of Sixth Street in reference to an auto theft. Officers met with the manager who advised that a 2021 Mercedes C300 was stolen. A female entered the dealership and requested to test drive the vehicle. A dealer tag was placed on the vehicle and it was never returned. The vehicle was valued at $45,000.
It is unclear if any identifying information was collected from the subject prior to the test drive.
