Annapolis Police: Wanted Man Arrested on Newtowne Drive, Charged with Gun Possession

Officers with the Annapolis Police Department arrested a wanted man on Newtowne Drive, charging him with firearm related offenses. 

On September 6, 2021, at approximately 1:05am, officers responded to the 700 block of Newtowne Drive for a person with a warrant. Upon arrival,  the subject ran from officers but was quickly apprehended. 

The subject was in possession of a loaded Taurus handgun. He was identified as Randy Sams, 23. Sams was charged accordingly.
