Annapolis Mayor, Police Department to Address Shooting of Children in Robinwood During Press Conference

Mayor Gavin Buckley and officials with the Annapolis Police Department are expected to host a press conference following the recent shooting of children on Tyler Avenue.

On February 21, 2022, at approximately 7 p.m., Annapolis Police responded to the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue in the Robinwood community after receiving reports of a shooting. Two victims, a 14-year-old male and 11-year-old female, were found suffering from injuries consistent with being struck by gunfire.  Both children were flown to local hospitals.  

The female victim has since been released from the hospital and the male victim remains hospitalized in stable condition. 

At 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, elected officials, clergy and community leaders will join the Mayor and police command staff at Annapolis Police Department Headquarters for the press conference where officials are expected to provide an update on the shooting investigation.
