Brooklyn Park Grocery Store Robbery Suspect Arrested, Charged

One person has been arrested in connection the alleged robbery of a grocery store in Brooklyn Park. 

On January 29, 2022, at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers responded for a robbery at the Lidl located at 5722 Ritchie Highway for a robbery. A loss prevention officer confronted a suspect who was attempting to steal items from the store.  The suspect withdrew a knife and thrust it toward the loss prevention officer, cutting the loss prevention officer’s pants. The loss prevention officer did not report any injuries as a result of the assault. 

The suspect fled but was quickly located by officers in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway. The suspect was in possession of items taken from the Lidl.  He was placed under arrest, charged accordingly and identified as:
