Two Men Charged After Police Discover Multiple Guns Inside Brooklyn Park Home
Two local men are facing criminal charges after a collection of guns were allegedly discovered inside a Brooklyn Park home last month.
Police said on October 28, 2022, detectives with the Anne Arundel County - Maryland State Police Strategic Operations Group executed a knock and announce search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of West Edgevale Road. In a press release, the Anne Arundel County Police department stated the search warrant was a result of an investigation by Strategic Operations Group detectives following the August 23 arrest of 20-year-old Shane Ecker (bottom photo) and 20-year-old Cody Ecker (top photo), of Brooklyn Park, for a firearms violation in which three firearms were seized.
The police department said the following pieces of evidence were seized on October 28, 2022, as a result of the search warrant:

Beretta 9mm
Micro Draco 7.62
Glock 19 9mm
Smith and Wesson Revolver .38 caliber (obliterated serial number)
Eagle Arms Armalite w/ 10 round mag 5.56 / .223
Pioneer Arms Hellpup 7.62
Smith and Wesson Shield 9mm (obliterated serial number)
Sin City Machinery 12g shotgun
Ammunition / Accessories:
36 12 gauge rounds
20 7.62 rounds
104 9mm rounds
52 5.56 / .223 rounds
2 30-06 rounds
14 .38 special rounds
1 270 Winchester round
3 30-round magazines
1 extended round magazine
Controlled Dangerous Substances:
Digital scale w/ suspected CDS residue
Approximately 13 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms
Approximately 353 grams of suspected marijuana
"A check with the Maryland Gun Center revealed that the suspects were all prohibited from possessing firearms in the State of Maryland," the press release mentioned. "The subjects were transported to Central Booking for processing and charged with multiple CDS and weapons-related charges. "
