Baltimore Man Found with Loaded Handgun in Hanover While Awaiting Trial on Attempted Murder Charges

A Baltimore man was allegedly found carrying a loaded gun in Hanover while awaiting trial on attempted murder charges.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, officers responded for a report of an armed subject in the 7400 block of New Ridge Road on January 31, 2023, at approximately 5:15 p.m.  In a release, department officials said the officers made contact with the suspect, whom witnesses described as being distraught, intoxicated, and armed with a handgun. "The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During a subsequent search, officers located a black semi-automatic handgun and a civil amount of suspected marijuana," the press release states.  "While completing their investigation, officers learned that the suspect was on pretrial release in an attempted murder case from a neighboring jurisdiction and prohibited from possessing a firearm."

The suspect,  Travis William Robinson (shown above), 42, was arrested and charged accordingly.

In September 2020, Robinson and another man were reportedly arrested in connection with a shooting of two men in the 5200 block of Baltimore National Pike on August 12, 2020. He was initially held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center, but was later released on his own recognizance.
