Burglary on Royal Street in Annapolis Lands Suspect in Critical Condition

A man is in critical condition after sustaining an injury during a burglary on Royal Street in Annapolis. 

Shortly before 10:00pm., on March 4, 2023, officers responded to a report of breaking and entering, and observed a subject lying on the ground suffering from a wound to his wrist, according to a police department press release. *Due to the severity of the wound, the subject was profusely bleeding which caused an officer to apply a tourniquet to the subject's wrist. The Annapolis Fire Department responded and transported him to shock trauma," the release states.

 The resident reportedly told rhat the subject broke into her home through the back window and while doing so, sliced his wrist. "He ran through her apartment and out of the front door where he collapsed on the ground," police said.

The unidentified male subject is in currently in critical condition and will be charged once he is released from hospital.
