Man Faces Charges Following Investigation Into Child Being Struck With Stray Bullet Inside a Glen Burnie Home
A local man is facing criminal charges after a lengthy police investigation connected him to a stray bullet that injured a child in Glen Burnie last year.
On November 13, 2022, at approximately 1:45 a.m., a 9-year-old gunshot victim was taken to the emergency room at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. "The parent of the victim indicated that the victim was struck by a projectile that entered through the front door of their residence in the 300 block of Lindera Court in Glen Burnie," a police press release states. "The victim was treated for serious, non-life-threatening injuries."
On March 9, 2023, detectives were able to identify the suspect responsible for the shooting. An arrest warrant was obtained and the suspect, Troy Winston shown above), 33, was taken into custody without incident.
