The Canton Restaurant to Close Its Doors After More Than 60 Years

The Canton, a popular Annapolis restaurant, and the city's first chinese eatery, today announced that the business will soon close its doors after more than six decades.  

"Canton Restaurant would like to thank our customers and regret to inform you that the restaurant will close its doors permanently on June 30th 2023," the website said. The Canton was opened in 1960, and for many years, it was the city’s only Chinese restaurant.

The reason why The Canton is closing so suddenly remains unclear.
