Hit and Run Crash on Bywater Road Left Pedestrian in Critical Condition, Annapolis Police Said

The Annapolis Police Department said a recent hit and run accident on Bywater Road left a pedestrian with life threatening injuries. 

In a press release, department officials said that on July 21, 2023, at 11:29pm, their officers responded to a call for a vehicle accident with personal injuries. "Once on scene, officers located an adult female victim suffering from trauma to the head and neck," the press release stated.  "The victim was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The driver fled the scene."

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
