Man Found Shot Following Early Morning Shooting on Madison Street in Annapolis

First responders transported a man to an area hospital early yesterday with injuries he sustained during a shooting on Madison Street.  

In a press release, officials with the Annapolis Police Department said that on July 10, 2023, at 4:06am, officers on foot patrol in the Harbor House area heard four to five pops. The Officers reportedly searched the area and found an adult male victim laying on the ground behind an apartment building. "The victim said that he had been shot. When officers checked him, they found that he was suffering from one gunshot wound to the buttocks," the press release said. "He was conscious and was transported to shock trauma with non-life threatening injuries."

No arrests have been made, and this is an ongoing and fluid investigation, police say.
