One Juvenile Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Shooting on Copeland Street in Annapolis

The Annapolis Police Department is investigating a double shooting which reportedly occured on Copeland Street tonight.  

In a statement, a police department spokesperson said that on July 27, 2023, at about 10:18pm, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Copeland Street following reports of a shooting.  Upon the officers' arrival, two juvenile gunshot victims were located. One of the unidentified victims was later determined to be deceased. 

The second juvenile victim, also unidentified, was flown to an area hospital. The condition of the surviving victim and additional details were not immediately available.
