Police: Lothian Resident Dies Following Crash in Crownsville
A Lothian resident has been killed during a crash in Crownsville, police said today.
According to a statement, on July 6, 2024 at 7:48 a.m., officers responded to St. Stephens Church Road and Penderbrooke Drive for a serious injury crash involving two vehicles. "The investigation revealed a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling north on St. Stephens Church Road and crossed the center line of the roadway into oncoming traffic," department officials said. "The Suzuki motorcycle struck a 2014 Toyota Sequoia that was travelling south on St. Stephens Church Road."
The operator of the Suzuki motorcycle, Gregory Alan Hood, 59, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
