Police: Recovery of Two Stolen Vehicles Led to Multiple Arrests, Seizure of Guns and Drugs in Laurel


The recovery of two stolen vehicles in Laurel led police to arresting and charging four people on drug and weapon charges.  

Açcording to the police department, officers located a stolen 2016 Honda Accord in the parking lot of the Motel 6 located at 3510 Old Annapolis Road on July 11, 2004, at approximately 9:00 p.m.  In a statement, department officials said the investigation led officers to a room at the motel where the occupants of the stolen vehicle were staying. "Four suspects were located at the room, where officers observed suspected CDS and weapons in plain view.  The suspects were taken into custody," officials said.  

A search warrant was executed at the room, resulting in the seizure of the following items:

Glock 19 loaded with 10 rounds
Glock 26 loaded with 12 rounds
42 suspected pressed fentanyl pills
1.5 grams of suspected Xanax
Two digital scales
Multiple cell phones

On July 12, 2024, another stolen vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, was located at the Motel 6.  That vehicle was determined to be linked to one of the suspects (Awkward) already in custody from the previous incident.
