Two Men Face Charges Following Attempted Robbery Report in Glen Burnie

Two men are facing charges following the report of an attempted robbery in Glen Burnie.

In a press release, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said that on August 20, 2024, at approximately 6:40 a.m., officers responded for an attempted citizen robbery in the 7800 block of Crilley Road.  "The 27-year-old male victim was approached by two armed male suspects who demanded the victim's property. The victim did not comply, and the suspects fled," the release states.  "Responding officers located the suspects, who fled as officers approached but were quickly apprehended after a foot pursuit. Officers recovered a stolen loaded silver Smith and Wesson .357 caliber revolver and a black Aero precision X15 rifle."

One of the suspects, Sims, was found to be in possession of approximately 7.6 grams of suspected MDMA. Both suspects were arrested and charged.
