Police Discover Loaded Gun, Prescription Medicine Inside Vehicle During Stop on Church Street in Brooklyn Park

Officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department made an arrest after allegedly finding prescription medicine and a gun during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Park.  

Department officials said on September 4, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle parked on Church Street.  "The officer observed the grip of a handgun in the occupant's waistband.  The suspect was detained and found to be in possession of 24 pills of suspected Oxycodone Hydrochloride, suspected CDS packaging material, a digital scale, $635 in U.S. currency and a .25 caliber AG Armi Galesi Hijo handgun," a statement said.

The suspect was arrested, charged and identified as:

Tyler Andrew Ernest

32-year-old male

Brooklyn, Maryland
