Annapolis Police Department Continues Investigation Related to Recent Homicide


The investigation in connection with a recent homicide is open and ongoing, Annapolis Police Department officials has said.  

According to a press release issued by the department, officers responded to a residence on Georgetown Road following a report of shots fired on the evening of September 26. Upon arrival, the officers reportedly spoke to several neighbors who directed them to where they heard the gunshots. "Officers knocked on the door of the apartment but got no response so they made entry through the unlocked front door to conduct a welfare check," the press released said. "The officers discovered a male on the living room floor suffering from a gunshot wound. The fire department was contacted and pronounced the victim deceased."

The police department has not identified the victim or provided any additional information related to the case.
