Police: Severn Shooting Investigation Leads to One Arrest

A 20 year old local man has been charged in connection with a recent Severn shooting.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department's media relations office, officers responded to a shooting in the 1800 block of Eagle Court on October 12, 2024, at approximately 3:00 a.m. In a statement, officials said the suspect, a 20-year-old male ride-share customer, and a 28-year-old male driver engaged in an argument, at which time the driver declined the suspect’s ride.

"The suspect threatened to rob and shoot the driver, who drove off.  The suspect fired several gunshots toward the victim, who was able to get away unharmed," the statement said. "Responding officers located the suspect in his residence in the 1800 block of Eagle Court and took him into custody."

The police department identified the suspect as Kymoni Quantay Turner.
