Tragic Accident in Annapolis Leaves Young Wife, Mother Fatally Injured
A tragic accident in Annapolis left a 32 year wife and mother with fatal injuries, the Arundel County Police Department said last week.
According to investigators, on November 9, 2024, at approximately 7:24 p.m., officers were called to the 600 block of Maid Marion Hill at the request of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, who were assisting an injured person. "A preliminary investigation revealed that Mary Blasetti had sustained life-threatening injuries in an incident involving an E-Z-GO golf cart," authorities said. "Mrs. Blasetti was airlifted to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and passed away on November 11, 2024."
According to a GoFundMe profile, Mrs. Blasetti leaves behind her husband, Nick Blasetti, and their 2-month-old daughter, Mary Katharine Blasetti," the fundraiser description reads. "Nick and Mary Katharine will have plenty to navigate over the course of the next few months, so we’d like to soften that burden by helping them financially. Please consider donating to Nick & MK; any contribution will be greatly appreciated."
