Local Man Faces Drug, Handgun Charges Following Disturbance at Hotel in Annapolis

A local man is facing criminal charges after police allegedly located a handgun and drugs while investigating a disturbance inside a hotel room in Annapolis.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, officers responded for a disturbance at the Red Roof Inn located at 2520 Riva Road yesterday at approximately 6:25pm. "Officers observed the suspect in possession of a handgun and observed suspected controlled dangerous substances in the hotel room," officials said.  "Officers seized a 9mm Glock 26 handgun, nine rounds of 9mm ammunition, approximately 44 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 853 grams of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, and a grinder."

39 year old Hiram Ramos, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged.
