Danielle Crankfield, School Counselor at Crofton High School, Recognized as Maryland School Counselor of the Year

Danielle Crankfield, a dedicated school counselor at Crofton High School, has earned the prestigious Maryland School Counselor of the Year award from the Maryland School Counselor Association (MSCA), recognizing her profound impact on students' academic success, social-emotional growth, and post-graduation aspirations.

“I am honored to be named the 2025 Maryland School Counselor of the Year,” Crankfield said. “It has been and continues to be a pleasure to work with students, staff and families over the course of my school counseling career. This award is confirmation that a student-centered, data-driven approach to school counseling truly makes a difference in students’ lives and is worthy of recognition by those in the profession.”

With over a decade of experience, Crankfield, a National Board Certified Counselor, has been inspiring students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools since 2010, and has been an integral part of the Crofton High School community since its establishment in 2020. MSCA will celebrate Crankfield's remarkable contributions, along with those of other award recipients, at its annual conference later this month.
