Hundreds of Mourners Gather to Honor Teen Fatally Shot in Annapolis
Hundreds of mourners gathered at the First Christian Community Church of Annapolis on *Friday to celebrate the life of a teen who was shot to death *earlier this month.
Homicide detectives are continuing their search for evidence related to the death of the teenager who was found inside a residence on Holeclaw Street in Annapolis.
The Annapolis Police Department responded to a shooting report at 101 Holeclaw Street on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at approximately 7:56 pm. Upon arrival, they found Kenneth Gray,Jr., with gunshot wounds. The Annapolis Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
An police department spokesperson was unable to provide any specific updates on the investigation.
According to an online obituary, Gray, 16, had a relentless passion for sports.
"Football and basketball brought him great joy, and he played with heart, determination, and a tenacious energy that inspired his teammates and coaches," the obituary said. "Beyond athletics, Kenny was known for his kind soul and the way he made others feel valued. His smile could light up any room, and his presence was a gift to all who knew him. His love for life, his boundless energy, and his desire to bring people together will never be forgotten."
