Kendell Dorsey, Hairstylist to the Stars, to be Honored with 'Key to the City' at Maryland Hall Event on Feb. 16

The City of Annapolis Mayor's Office will host 'The Crown Affair' award ceremony on February 16th, 2025, to honor Kendall Dorsey, a renowned celebrity hair stylist and Annapolis native, with a Key to the City. 

Dorsey's work has been featured in top fashion and entertainment outlets. 

The "Crown Affair" Key to the City presentation celebrates Black Hair's history and strength, honoring Kendall Dorsey's career and legacy. Mayor Gavin Buckley will present the Key to the City.

While in Annapolis, Dorsey will also undertake a series of events to inspire and connect with youth and local hair stylists:

Friday, February 14th: Dorsey will visit Annapolis Middle School to speak to students, and conduct a special “Look & Learn” session at Annapolis High School.  

Saturday, February 15th: Dorsey will visit five local Annapolis salons and share experience and knowledge with local stylists and shop owners.  

Monday, February 17th: Dorsey will host a private, invitation-only “Look & Learn” session to teach and network with aspiring hair designers and stylists.
