Baltimore Woman Sentenced to Fifteen Years in Prison for Running Sex Trafficking Ring in Anne Arundel County
A woman from Baltimore has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison for the operation of a sex trafficking operation in Anne Arundel County and surrounding counties.
Attorney General Anthony G. Brown this week announced the sentencing of Kenika Danielle Leach, 33. The sentencing follows a two-year, multi-agency investigation led by the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Unit.
On November 18, 2024, Ms. Leach pleaded guilty in the Circuit Court for Washington County to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, distribution of cocaine, and receiving the earnings of a prostitute. On February 26, 2025, Judge Brett R. Wilson sentenced Ms. Leach to 15 years of active incarceration.
The investigation began in December 2021 when local hospital personnel notified the Baltimore Police Department of a patient who reported being sex trafficked by Ms. Leach from Hagerstown to the Baltimore area. Through collaboration with partner agencies and a review of extensive records, the investigative team identified 10 additional women who had been trafficked by Ms. Leach from Hagerstown to hotels in Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties for commercial sex.
Ms. Leach exploited the women by providing them with drugs and then insisting they repay their “drug debts” through commercial sex acts. Ms. Leach also used physical violence to control and coerce the women, the Attorney General's office said.
