Commentary: Letters to the Editor and Guest Opinions/Op-Eds

Report Annapolis News welcomes letters to the editor and guest opinions (op-eds) on a variety of topics and from individuals with diverse perspectives and backgrounds. We are committed to fostering productive public commentary by providing a platform for community engagement. 

All submissions become the property of Report Annapolis News and may be edited for length, accuracy, clarity, and civility. Publication is at the sole discretion of Report Annapolis News. 

We will make every effort to inform you within two weeks if your op-ed or letter has been selected for publication. If you do not hear from us within that timeframe, you may assume that we are unable to use your submission at this time. 

Submissions must include the writer’s full legal name, phone number, and complete address. This information is for verification purposes only and will not be published. Any submissions that cannot be verified will not be published. 

Please paste the text of your submission into the body of your email.  Submissions sent as attachments will not be considered. 

Letters to the Editor: the purpose of a letter to the editor is to express a viewpoint on a particular issue or cause. 

**Format:** Please keep submissions between 150 and 300 words. 

**Submission:** Email your letter to info@reportannapolis.com with "Letter to the Editor" in the subject line, followed by your suggested title or heading. The published title/heading is at the discretion of Report Annapolis News. 

Guest Opinions/Op-Eds: the purpose of an op-ed is to present a expert/professional argument on a specific topic. 

**Format:** Please keep submissions between 300 and 600 words. Please also include a brief biography and a professional photo/headshot. 

**Submission:** Email your op-ed to info@reportannapolis.com with "Guest Opinion/Op-Ed" in the subject line, followed by your suggested title or heading. The published title/heading is at the discretion of Report Annapolis News.
