Family Displaced Following Fire on Copeland Street

A family has been displaced following a fire on Copeland Street, according to the Annapolis Fire Department. 

Yesterday at approximately 9:25 p.m., the Annapolis Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the 1900 block of Copeland Street. Crews found smoke coming from a two-story row home and discovered a kitchen fire that started on the stove. The fire was quickly extinguished, with damage limited to the stove area.

One adult resident sustained minor injuries and was evaluated on site. Three adults and two children are now displaced, and the American Red Cross and the Anne Arundel County Mobile Crisis Response Team are providing assistance. No fire personnel were injured.

The Fire and Explosives Services Unit determined the fire was accidental, with an estimated $10,000 in property damage.
