Anne Arundel County Police Arrest Man Found with Bulletproof Vest, Stolen Handgun

The Anne Arundel County Police Department this week announced the arrest of man who was allegedly found with a bulletproof vest and a stolen handgun. 

On April 9, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m., detectives in the Western District were patrolling the 2000 block of Horseshoe Circle in Jessup, prompted by complaints of illegal drug distribution. During their patrol, officers noticed an individual seated in a brown Jeep Grand Cherokee. Upon approaching and speaking with the man, they observed a handgun beside his leg.

A subsequent investigation revealed that the individual had an outstanding arrest warrant for assault and was wearing body armor. Consequently, officers arrested the man and seized a stolen, loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun, a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine, and a digital scale.

The arrested individual has been identified as: Daniel Trent Altizer, 35 years of age, of Jessup.
